Join us as we reach for our Creator as we celebrate BEING ORDINARY
with stories, games, crafts, and so much more.

We think that there is something extraordinary to be found in the ordinary. This camp will explore how simple, ordinary actions create pathways for extraordinary moments to unfold within ourselves, with others, and with our Creator.

The camp will be shaped by stories from the Bible in which the characters discover something extraordinary through living in an ordinary way. The themes this year will include LISTENING (paying attention to others), LOYALTY (friendship), DETERMINATION (will power), FORGIVENESS (doing the right thing), and CARING (standing up for others).

 
JULY 6th-10th, 2020

Camp for Ages 3-5 runs every morning 9:00am – 11:15am

Camp for Grades 1- 4 runs full days, 9:00am – 3:30pm

Camp for Grades 5-7 runs separately, 9:00am – 3:30pm
 
*grades indicated mean that your child will be entering that age bracket in September 2020.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!
 

1. When is Summer Kids Camp this year?

Being Ordinary will be running from July 6th-10, and July 13th-17th, 2020. This year, we have 3 options for camp: a mornings only camp for our little friends aged 3-5, a full-day camp for kids who have finished Kindergarten up to those going into Grade 4, and a separate week of a full-day camp for older kids going into Grades 5-7.

 

Age 3-5 camp goes from 9am-11:15am, and both Gradeschool camps run from 9am-3:30pm. Age 3-5 camp is $25/child, Grade 1-4 Camp is $50/child, Grade 5-7 Camp is $50/child.

2. How can I register?

Registration will open online to the public on Tuesday, March 17th at 7pm. You’ll find the registration at www.eventbrite.ca, or if you’d like to get directly to the page for Being Ordinary you can click the link on the homepage of our website: www.ebap.ca. Please note that registration will close on June 17th, 2020 to allow us time to finalize our groups and prepare materials.

3. When does registration open & when does it close?

Registration opens at 7pm on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. It will be closed on June 17th, 2020.

4. Is there a waitlist?

We do have a limited number of spaces available for each camp, so once we reach our maximum you may be added to the waitlist. If someone else drops out of the camp, or if we’re able to open up more spots, you’ll be notified by email and sent a link to claim your spot within 24 hours before it’s offered to the next person on the list. The waitlist will hold spots in the order the registrations are received.

5. I currently have a child in Kindergarten – which camp should I choose for their registration?

It’s entirely up to you. Please keep in mind that the Grade 1-4 camp holds a lot of content and the days are full and long for little bodies. We trust you to know your child’s capacity.
 
6. I run a daycare – can I sign up children in my care?

Sorry! We’re not set up to provide spaces for day homes and require children to be signed up by their parent/guardian.

 
7. Does my preschooler need to be potty-trained to attend?

Yes. Our safety policy and our timetable for the morning doesn’t allow for volunteers to change diapers so it’s really important that kids are fully potty-trained by the beginning of camp.
